Chester / Central Montco - Info for Case Workers

This page is designed to offer information for people who may be seeking assistance from Toys for Tots for those they act as case workers for

It is important to understand that this is relevant for the Chester / Central Montgomery PA campaigns  only. Each Toys for Tots campaign is run independently, and have their own processes and procedures. Just like our campaign cannot be expected to offer something another campaign does that we cannot, applicants outside our area should not expect their local campaign to work this way. Your local campaign is solely responsible for the processing of your application and the conditions they choose to set. 

Important information that you need to know as a case worker

• Do not apply on behalf of your clients using the family application form

  • When we receive applications with email addresses that belong to a service organization, those are disapproved as soon as they are noticed. Applicants are informed to apply using a personal address if they are applying for themselves

The problem is that we communicate almost exclusively via email with our family applicants. Inserting yourself into that process adds delay that may prevent a family from being served. Roughly half of the applications entered by service organizations are not picked up. 

You may advise an applicant on how to fill out the application, but it is their responsibility to enter their contact information, their responsibility to supply any necessary follow up information such as where they wish to receive their gifts, and their responsibility to pick them up

If your organization wants to partner with Toys for Tots because those you assist may not be in a position to respond to emails or pick up gifts, the appropriate method is to fill out a Nonprofit / Agency application. Your organization would have one - and only one - application, would need to comply with the criteria we set for Agency applications, would need to pick up the gifts in bulk from our warehouse, and would need to handle distribution internally instead of through our process.
